EMA Insights & Takeaways 3: January 2015 EMA
And we’re off… like a bobsled on ice! We’ve spent the day checking in the guests and discussing the exciting activities to come. With Zen Spa to our left and Island Routes to our right, the hospitality desk crew bear witness to attendees taking full advantage of booking relaxing spa packages as well as some adventure tours.
Some of the adventure packages include Jamaican bobsleds, zip lines through the mountains, catamaran cruises and even deep sea fishing. Guests have also been offered complimentary shoulder massages from Zen Spa once checked in. Nothing like a free shoulder massage right after a trip from the airport! Everyone here is beginning to wind down, relax, and get ready for the Planner Reception tonight at The Fez Rooftop Bar.
After checking in, Attendees get to enjoy some down time. The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall offers complimentary catamarancruises that take you out from the beach to the reef where you can snorkel, swim, or merely enjoy the view of the hotel amid the lush jungle and mountains. Many attendees have been happily lounging beside the pool under shaded umbrellas wrapping their hands around giant coconuts and slurping up coconut water filled with ice, rum and different variations of citrus. Looks like people are starting to embrace their inner islander by ordering Mai Tai’s, Pina Coladas, any cocktail with a little Jamaican rum, not to mention the ever so popular – Red Stripe Lager Beer.
Once the clock strikes 7:00 pm, Elite Meetings Alliance lights up the night (in multiple ways)! With the Elite Meetings Alliance logo projected in blue on the entire wall of the Fez Rooftop bar, the attendees headed straight to the Planner reception like moths to a flame. It’s pretty clear that this group is ready to celebrate the start of another successful Elite Meetings Alliance! We have an incredible lineup of speakers for the Education Sessions tomorrow as well as the Welcome Dinner – A Boonoonoonoos Welcome to Jamaica. Try to say that word 5 times fast.
Just because you’re staying in Jamaica, does not mean you’re limited to one type of vacation. Here at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, there are so many things to do, places to see, and dining options to try. For those with a taste for adventure, book a tour from Island Routes or try one of the many international inspired cuisines. Calypzo café offers Caribbean cuisine featuring some of the local herbs and spices, fresh caught seafood and local tropical fruit. I would also recommend trying Brazil – the Churrascaria serving some of the best meat skewers I’ve ever had.
Drop in on Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall barista – Stacey at BiteZ Café and she’ll offer you a mouthwatering afternoon Gelato!
