“Teachable Moments” Abound with IMEX America’s Smart Learning Line-Up
At next month’s IMEX America in Las Vegas you can not only broaden your business power and contact lists but also your horizons thanks to the extensive IMEX America education program that show organizers and partners have in store.
The learning opportunities in Las Vegas start rolling on Smart Monday, powered by MPI, on October 12th (which includes PCMA Business School & Association Focus) and keep going strong throughout the show until it wraps on October 15th. In fact, there is a choice of more than 180 sessions across throughout the week.

By visiting the searchable online catalogue of learning opportunities, everyone can create their own customized learning programs in just a few clicks. The learning options span and across 10 speciality tracks, including Business Skills, Creative Learning, Diversity, General Education, Health/Wellbeing, Marketing and Communications, Research/Trends, Risk Management/Compliance, Sustainability, and Technology/Social Media. Two new ways to filter sessions based on time in the industry are also now available: Young Professionals (for those with 3 years or less) sponsored by IAEE, and Senior Professionals (those with 8 years or more) sponsored by SPIN.
Hit the Floor for Inspiration
For greater convenience, all education on the show floor will take place this year at the Inspiration Hub. As everyone learns differently, however, the unified space will feature features five distinct learning formats and set-ups. Seminar rooms, a campfire area, Hot Topic Tables, the Meet the Experts Clinic and the Research Pod offer the ability to interact, learn and share best practices and industry trend insights in diverse and dynamic ways.
Find Zen in the Meditation Room
For participants wanting to stretch both their bodies and minds, IMEX America will offer a new super-zen Mediation Room where sessions on wellness, mindfulness and relaxation will take place. This is all part of the “Be Well at IMEX” program that also includes a Wellness guide with tips on staying healthy while traveling, a map of health-inspired offerings from exhibitors, and pointers to healthier food options and water stations available at the show. A new IMEX run will take place early on Wednesday morning, giving fitness fanatics the chance to run along the famous Vegas Strip.
Get Quirky in the New Play Room
A new offering in Vegas this year ‘The Play Room’ – sponsored by Play with a Purpose – will run throughout Smart Monday and offer short ‘quirkshops’. This upbeat, fun alternative to classroom learning lets attendees get hands-on experience with a variety of tools, techniques and resources to create more engaging meetings in the areas of room design, tech, networking, teambuilding, F&B and more.

Finally, morning MPI keynotes will provide an intelligent way to start off the day featuring:
